Forward hop contracting helps breweries secure the hop varieties they need at an agreed price before harvest, giving growers the confidence to plant and produce the right quantities for future demand. Brewers can place two contracts a year, one for hops grown in the Northern Hemisphere and one for hops grown in the Southern Hemisphere.
