The Charles Faram Hop Development Programme aims to develop exciting new hop varieties that combine strong agronomy with modern flavour profiles for brewers around the world. Working closely with our hop growers and brewers, the programme focuses on developing hops with excellent disease resistance, strong yields, and distinctive aromas.
Each variety goes through a detailed development process that can take up to five years, including growing trials, sensory analysis, and brewing evaluations to ensure it performs well in both the field and the brewhouse. The programme has successfully introduced varieties such as Harlequin®, Olicana®, Jester®, and most recently Karma®.
