UK Cascade hops originated in Oregon, USA, from a breeding programme that combined Fuggle and Serebrianker Cascade parentage. Released in 1971, Cascade first entered UK production in 2002.
Brewers mainly use UK Cascade as an aroma hop. It delivers rounded citrus, stone fruit and floral notes, alongside a smooth bitterness. While it shares many of the signature characteristics of US Cascade, UK Cascade presents them in a slightly softer style.
