Spalter Select hops are a cross of Spalt and Hallertau Mittelfrüh. Being released for cultivation in the late 1980’s, this hop was bred with the intention of replacing Spalt, which has very poor disease resistance.
Well-suited for all lager and light beer applications, Spalter Select is a classic aroma variety.
