Perle is generally perceived as an excellent aroma hop, with aroma characteristics as fine as those of Hallertau Mittlefrüh but with a higher alpha acid. This high yielding aroma variety is popular with growers, thanks to its resistance to disease. It has a good resistance to Verticillium Wilt and Downy Mildew and average resistance to Powdery Mildew.
