Pacific Gem hops, developed at the DSIR Research Station, and released in 1987, is a child of Smoothcone, Cluster and Fuggle.
This is a high-alpha variety, Pacific Gem™, that provides strident bitterness. This particular hop variety matures early within the growing season, and as with all New Zealand hops, they are disease-free.
