Organic First Gold hops are a dwarf hop bred at Wye College, during extensive farm trials in 1995. First Gold is from a cross-pollination of WGV with a dwarf male.
First Gold builds on the classic flavour of WGV with added citrus character. It delivers well-balanced bitterness, fruity and slightly spicy notes in ales, and a distinctive zesty orange flavour.
