Citra Hops originated from a 1990 cross, from parentage that includes Mittelfruh, East Kent Goldings and Tettnang. The Hop Breeding Company of Yakima commercially released the variety in 2007.
Best used as a late and/or dry hop, tropical fruit flavours abound, typically displaying grapefruit, mango and peach.
