FORWARD HOP CONTRACTING

Forward hop contracting helps breweries secure the hop varieties they need at an agreed price before harvest, giving growers the confidence to plant and produce the right quantities for future demand. As hops are only harvested once a year, contracts play a vital role in protecting supply, reducing the risk of shortages and helping brewers avoid volatile spot market prices. By forward contracting, brewers can plan ahead with confidence.

Brewers can place two contracts a year, one for hops grown in the Northern Hemisphere and one for hops grown in the Southern Hemisphere.

If you wish to find out more about forward hop contracting and its importance, email exports@charlesfaram.co.uk
